2000 sets should appear this weekend —Mark Herzberg
This is not a promise, because I am not sure, but both LIC centres should recive thier usual shipments of 2000 sets this Friday or Saturday. Living so close, I vist WDW very frequently and was supposed to go this Friday. Sadly, I am unable to go (...) (25 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Mark, just to confirm -- you mean this *coming* Friday/Saturday, and not this weekend that we're in right at the moment? If so, that would mean December 3 or 4, which would be perfectly in alignment with previous years... --Todd (25 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) I called the LIC and they said that they were expecting a shipment around December 7th. (25 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yes, this coming weekend. Though as another poster mentioned, the shipment is expected on Tuesday, the seventh. That's close enough for me. Can't wait! (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hey! Does this mean only at these Lego stores in Florida? Any educated guesses about regular stores for the rest of the States? (TRU, Walmart, Target, and KB) Man I can't wait for these sets! I gotta get a Boba Fett!! Chris (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Just checked my calendar. I captured the first day I saw the new sets last year - Dec. 14th, Redwood City Toys R Us. Based on the rollouts of various sets, it seems to take about a week for new sets to make their way across the continent. So (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) The case with the SW last year was an odd one, though. A lot of stores had the classic stuff in for months but were afraid to put it out because Lucas had very strict rules governing when the episode 1 sets could be put out. If any one broke (...)      I remember spotting some of the 1999 Adventurers stuff at a TRU here around Thanksgiving last year. Let me see if I can find the post... Here it is: (URL) it looks like it was early December.    Yes, well, it's time for feel sorry. I live in Canada. Yes, I'll be seeing the new sets in about a month. Now THAT makes me angry, OoooooOOOOOOoooooooOOOOO!! Hey, does anybody want to buy a buttload of new legos, I'll pay you extra for them, (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yeah, but last I saw, about 90% of Canajans (as the Canadian side of my family calls it) live within 100km of the US border. That border's pretty porous, so I'd bet you can just hop across at your nearest border town and buy 'em (unless (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) You're not that bad off. Up here in Norway, the "Episode 1" had premiere August 8th. Now, how's that for being late? And we didn't get _any_ Star Wars LEGO sets until August, too.
