Re: valuing lego for insurance purposes

  Whitening yellowed bricks

HI, I bought a Futuron space set that has some of the white pieces yellowed. I checked the FAQ and will try soaking them in a bleach solution to restore the colour. I'm concerned about the printed pieces though. Does anyone have experience on this. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: missing parts

(...) In the past year, I've purchased only about 6 sets, of which 2 have had one missing piece each. That's 1 set out of 3! Prior to this, I had never seen it happen at all... and I don't know HOW many dozens of sets I had bought previous to last (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: missing parts

(...) This may not be a direct answer to your question, but I did have to pay for my latest replacement-part request. I took a gamble and picked up a 4483 AT-AT in a beat-up box, and unfortunately it was missing one of the bags (so I only had one (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: missing parts

(...) They used to have really phenomenal quality control, but I think it's gone down in recent years. Every set I've ever had that was packaged before 1999 has been flawless. In fact, I remember talking about it with friends at school in 4th grade, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)
