(...) Ah, good to know. Thanks for posting it! Mark (22 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

It was posted earlier in the thread - 500979. The problem is that the SKU covers both the Lego and Duplo versions of the bonus pack, so if you call a store, you need to have them physically check to see if they have both (the only TRU within 75 (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Can someone post the Toys R Us SKU/SKN number for the 4679 tub? You can get it off the receipt if you purchased the set. Thanks, Mark (22 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Some more data points - I hit up another TRU and found tubs with three straps and NO number stamped near the UPC. And they are AWESOME. Lots of minifig heads and all kinds of weird parts. I've posted pics at (URL) this Brickshelf gallery> once (...) (22 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) I am not so sure about the "boring" tag anymore! This is the best boost to my collection ever with an incredible set of grey 3x6's. The number of straps and the number stamped on them ring true. Though I would add another criteria -- I happen (...) (22 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Yeah mine had three straps and the # 3534 stamped on it. one good thing is that is is all the old colors!!! Mark (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Thomas, All twenty bags were identical, however I got two more tubs last night which had 10 identicAL Bags but were different from the first 20. They had TrBlue Panel 1x4x3s, Orange 1x6s, no Gray 1x3x5s, gray 2x2 double convex 45 slopes, (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Bruce, I just used that name because that's what the brickshelf image poster (not me) used as a description. Also, I think it is a funny name. Eric (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: A Set within a Set.

(...) There is also USA Samsonite set #348 "Mini-Wheel Car and Truck Set" which contains the USA mini-wheel cars 360, 361, 362, 363, plus a fire truck and a car w/trailer. Eric (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Rarest Regular Lego Part....

(...) snip (...) Looking at the photo cover of set 721 (URL) I see that not only the trainwheels and the trainbase were prototypes, but also the sliding wheel holders. And the power pickup was not available, either. It is not clear if there have (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Were they really identical? I've opened a few of these (or seen them opened) and the bags were all of the same type, but I don't think that they were identical (some had TrBlue Panel 1x4x3s, some had Orange 1x6s, some had no Gray 1x3x5s, . . . (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) My tubs do have the three straps, and they have the 3534 stamped (over the text near the UPC symbol). Good call - I wonder if your hypothesis is correct! Roy (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Mark, Roy, and Ram - In another part of this thread, Bruce said he bought 4 tubs with 5 almost identical bags in each tub. Those tubs had 3534 stamped on them, and three straps, instead of the usual two, holding the box to the tub. Did your (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: A Set within a Set.

(...) Thanks Ronald, The easiest way to tell them apart is in Section 5 - Trains. The use of wheels, black bricks, and plates on the trains makes this the easiest way to tell them apart. I have a 1960-61 version USA Samsonite (USA Lego started in (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) I picked up some sets here in Colorado and they are exactly the same as those in your pix! Everyone one of them I must say... very disappointing! Looks like the first sets had the good pieces and then it got worse. Interesting to note the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) I just picked up 3 tubs at a Sacramento (Northern California) TRU and they all had the more boring extra parts (URL) seen here> No nice minifig heads, no baseplates. I will try some other TRUs in the area if I get a chance, but this assortment (...) (22 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Eric, Why do you call it the "Sweet Bucket of Joy"? I just got four of these with five identical polybags in each. I was disappointed that I got so many identical parts. The seven tubs I got earlier had different polybag contents in each so I (...) (22 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: A Set within a Set.

(...) I suppose you could count some stuff like: 7171 - Mos Espa Podrace, which contained 7131, although I don't believe the box containing the 7131 had the set number printed on it. 4534 & 4535 - Lego Express, which contained MOT train cars-- (...) (22 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)
