  Re: 2x4 Brick model?

(...) Wow, those are all brilliant! Thanks! I was originally thinking of using these simply as big "demo" pieces for the students' digital models.. I have them do a brick in AutoCAD solids the first day, and my mock-up needed to be big so I could (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Going to Legoland with Binoculars...

(...) Thanks Niels, I agree that the last time Lego made a 1x3x2 window in white (in a set) was in 1970. However, I have 2 examples of this window in white that have no window "sills". This means that they were produced after 1972. I just found the (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Samsonite Lego in the USA (1961-72) were factory seconds??

(...) Any way to tell which bricks are Cellulose Acetate and which are ABS (other than visual inspection)? From some preliminary checking it doesn't appear that there is a link between the logo font and the material. I did notice that some of my (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: mold variant: turntable 4 x 4

(...) Thanks for the information. Yes they are from a Samsonite Lego set (120 I think still have the box). Glad to see you are back and I'm looking forward to your "new" discoveries - referenced in your other post. Eric Strand (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Going to Legoland with Binoculars...

According to Peeron, the 1x2x2 windows were most recently used in 2002 sets in red and 2000 sets in white and 1997 sets in both blue and yellow. 1x3x2 and 1x4x2 windows have not been used again since 1980, in white not since 1970 for the 1x3x2 and (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Going to Legoland with Binoculars...

Yesterday I was looking at a Lego Shop At Home catalog, and I noticed that the 2x2 windows were still available in white in bulk packs of 25. I was wondering why these were still here. And then I realized that this window is still used in Legoland (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Complete LEGO color reference

(...) I'm not sure why Peeron doesn't have a link to this on the main page, but they actually got an 'official guide' with RGB/CMYK/Pantone from Lego last year: (URL) like I've used that as a guide repeatedly, since it came from an official source, (...)   Re: 2x4 Brick model?

(...) In the meantime here's some pics that show the edges of the brick fairly well. I tried to build mine without using plates to keep the cost down. The tubes under a 2x4 are the hardest part, but they actually support the "deck" with the studs. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 2x4 Brick model?

(...) Somewhere I've got Ldraw files of bricks in 5,8,10,12,20,25, and 50 X scales. Lemme see if I can find them for you : ) A 10X 2x4 is about the size you mention... (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Complete LEGO color reference

I don't believe they have official names, only numbers. I have photographs of a reference board hanging in the model shop at LLW that shows these numbers and which may be of use: (URL) were taken a year or so ago so won't have the new bleys etc. on (...)   Re: Galaxy Explorer ever come with grey 4x4x2 cones with axle holes?

(...) So funny...I remember that switch. My first set with them was the Starfleet Voyager. I got that set after the Galaxy Explorer, so at least in that set (Canadian/International), the cones were solid. Cheers, -G (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Has anyone seen Gary Istok?

Re: Galaxy Explorer ever come with grey 4x4x2 cones with axle holes?

(...) Hi Rick, This question may be trickier than we know. I know there was a transition to cones with axle holes, but I'm not sure if they implemented it in the middle of the production of that particular set. I'm going to cross post to .general (...)   Re: Complete LEGO color reference

  Re: 2x4 Brick model?

  Complete LEGO color reference

Hello, I'm trying to create a LEGO color reference list were I want to link (match) the different color naming systems together. At this moment I try to match up the Peeron color names, BrickLink color names and the official LEGO color names. I (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)
