Re: 4755 - Knight Bus Colours

OK, I did the best I can with the pics. While I can't get the overall tint of the pics to match real life, I think they show the multiple shades well enough. I brightened them a bit to get them closer to real life, but brightened the entire pic, I (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general, lugnet.color)

Re: LEGO, kids, and how it has come to this

(...) I address this in my 3D CAD class - it's very interesting to see how adults approach building instructions as users (and then creators). There's some very complex thinking going on there. Ever read any of Tufte's books on Graphic (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) I think the Yoda statue uses both the parts list and the step highlighting which is very helpful for a set like that. Dan. (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: From the mouth of babes and just what is going on!?

(...) I always find parents' assertions that their children "think for themselves" to be dubious, as more often than not it's a euphamism for "I'm proud they think just like me.." It's funny to see these same parents later on, when their (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Someone's Got too Much Time On Their Hands!

This is a thread to collect and spread zippy responces to the most cliche responce so many of us have heard time and time again. Reply with your best zippy responce! "Hey look at my lego creations online. Look, a three foot spaceship!" "Wow. It (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) I agree with this assertion, sounds like Mel has raised people who think for themselves, not that she was influencing them. But I xfut to market theory because I have a tangential question... how much an hour do you guys (Troy, Mel, whoever (...)   Re: Corellian "Corvette" in the Coruscant skyways

(...) Right on! Do you have any 1x6 lt.grey tiles instead of that plate? It looks like one stud of the 1x6 plate is holding up the side mirro - so how about doing a 1x4 tile and then a 1x2 plate, then but a 1x2 grille-tile on top of the exposed stud (...)   Re: Color Change - Final Update

Dear Jake, I'm sure you have likely had your fill of AFOLs micromanaging TLCs business, but I really can't resist here. There are two things off the top of my head that I hope that you and TLC will consider: 1. Master Builders get any part in any (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

Re: From the mouth of babes and just what is going on!?

After describing that whole scenario you honestly believe you had "no influence" on your kids' reaction? Everything you described sounds pretty "influential" to me. (22 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Reasons for the color change

Re: LEGO, kids, and how it has come to this
