Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) Hi. I think, the survey is nonsense. LEGO cannot produce any more legends, because the colors needed are no more available. Regards Ronald (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general) !!

Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) Firstly, all of the themes listed seemed rather minfig-centric, with the exception of "large sculptures". Not TECHNIC, no DUPLO, no Designer (shoot, I just realized I could have asked for Space and Castle X-Pods) Secondly (and this is (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) In the first survey, if memory serves me, someone went through the suggestions, cleaned up, simplified, or combined suggestions, and then added it to the list. There were numerous adds - my suggestion regarding Pirates was slightly reworded, (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

(...) of good opportunities to voice our opinions. One thing though - why isn't TechnicMindStorms listed? I'd hardly call it "all-new" (though here's to hoping ;) ). -Mike (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

Jake, When running these types of surveys, it might help to run them in two phases, due to the way you ask people to add their own responses. For instance, under "castle" your survey then goes on to ask "what type", and gave the options "Black (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

More opinions needed - possible future Legends

If you haven't noticed it on the LEGO MyOpinions site already, we're currently running a session to get some feedback on the most desired sets for possible future LEGO Legends.   Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) Actually, I thought the same thing for a long time, but here's the relevant bit from the article: "In dismissing Lego's appeal, the [Canadian] Federal Court of Appeal reaffirmed the longstanding doctrine that the protection of functional (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) I thought TLC was most recently suing them for trademark violation, as the 2x4 brick is often used as a logo for TLC. Also, what about the tubes on the underside? Copyright on Mickey Mouse should be expired (or nearly so) by now, but as long (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) These are legitimate questions, and TLG has indeed gone after a number of clone companies over the years. Most recently, TLG's lawsuit in Canada against MEGABLOKS for patent violation was thrown out, as discussed here: (URL) in numerous other (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) I've never, ever understood how TLC's patented product could be so readily replicated to such exacting degrees by other companies (always trumpeting their "compatability with LEGO!"). Because that's the real issue. Instead of going after WM, (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) I've wondered about that, as well. Honestly, why should TLG have any authority to dictate where Wal*Mart and TRU choose to place their product? I mean, sure, TLG could elect not to distribute via those two retailers, but who would be hurt more (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)
