  The Coolest Picture

ok, it's 7:59 a.m., I don't know where I've been, but this is got to be The Coolest Picture I have seen in a long time! Well, this morning, at least! (URL) Really great work Rosco! Oh this one is pretty cool too. In a kinda sucky cool kinda way. ;) (...) (22 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Any Stinkers here?

Hi Mike, (...) I'm not an expert, but I've struggled long enough with it too. Here are some questions & tips: What version of the Ldraw radiosity includes do you have? I downloaded it recently and it works quite all right. What settings are you (...) (22 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.general)

  Re: Any Stinkers here?

(...) I'm no expert, but I'll take a crack at answering this one. The radiosity setting allows for diffuse lighting, so instead of simulating one or more light sources, it simulates ambient light, almost like outdoors. I have used radiosity for some (...)   Re: So very Good!

(...) Indeed, there are always exceptions to the rule. (...) Then perhaps i should have clarified... My qualms reside with the fact that TLC has a huge selection of various pieces from years of inventory from countless system sets. It is IMHO that (...)   Any Stinkers here?

I'm not calling names...I'm looking for someone who has a Brickshelf account under the username "Stinky". Can the person who lays claim to that name please contact me? I have a few questions to ask you about the radiosity stuff you've done here: (...) (22 years ago, 10-Dec-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.general)

Re: Fwd from a builder: Colors don't match, among other things!

(...) Out of curiosity, have you built any fire equipment that includes clone elements? If so, could you post pictures? If not, your stuff is still pretty darned cool. Dave! (22 years ago, 10-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Chat with Kate & Jake / translation to English

(...) Hi Mike, as given in the other answers: there has been a one-time-test-order, which is not finished so far. The (not really all) available parts have been listed in this message on the 1000steine-board. The prices are higher than PaB, partly (...)   Re: Chat with Kate & Jake / translation to English

(...) As I read through this very interesting thread, a thought struck me which I haven't yet seen here; If TLC is prepared to enter into a bulk purchasing scheme yet is retiscent about dealing with orders from all over the place, why not enter into (...)   Re: Chat with Kate & Jake / translation to English

(...) In reply Yes you can order bricks from Lego Direct Europe. The price is set at per brick and not by weight, and I was quoted 7 to 10 pence per brick so it is still cheaper to buy them through pick a brick or S@H. I didn't put and order in. (...)   Re: Chat with Kate & Jake / translation to English

Hi Mike (...) We spoke not about _any_ bulk order, but about _the_ bulk order we planned 8 month ago and which isn't finished so far. It's some kind of testing it, so we're still waiting for simplier possibilities to order in bulk too. But as Kate (...) (22 years ago, 10-Dec-03, to lugnet.general)

  Diaphones at Legoland?

A friend of mine was telling me about fire alarm horns called diaphones. He said that they have some at Legoland (they are rare now in many parts of the country I guess).
