  Re: Mindstorms Feature on NPR

That title should have been Mindstorms Feature....sheesh! (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.edu)

This is actually a cool idea was: Re: Banished to .fabuland - for today

As nuts as this is I think Eric might be on to something. This might me a neat idea to blow the dust off of some quiet groups, or at least learn something new and have some fun.   Re: What's your: Desert Island Set?

(...) Any set that included a catalogue that would allow me to order more Lego! (I imagine those planes flying by dropping old wooden crates with the Lego Logo stamped on them.) :) Good thread, and some very great responses so far! Cheers, -Hendo (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's your: Desert Island Set?

(...) Assuming the island would be in the tropics, the set I'd choose would be #6595 Surf Shack (for obvious reasons). BUT if it were an island in a more "harsh" environment, perhaps it might be nice to take a LEGO house with me - I'm thinking #6372 (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's your: Desert Island Set?

(...) No brainer here! I'd have to have set 6286 "Skulls Eye Schooner"! Then the island would be either a base for my pirating operations or a place to bury the booty (oops, that would be a secret)! ARRGGHH! ahoy mates, Tom (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's your: Desert Island Set?

(...) Great topic! I think I would take 6387 Coastal Rescue Base or 6342 Beach Rescue Chopper -- so I could get off the desert island. :) -Kevin (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Unoffical LEGO Event Web Calendar

(...) [snip] At least you try to find out, and I appreciate that. With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  What's your: Desert Island Set?

If you were stranded on a desert island, and could only take one set with you, which set would it be and why? Mine might have to be 6420 - Mail Carrier, I'd always have mail, and a bicycle. :) Jennifer (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general) !

  Re: 6335 Stickers

(...) Yes, if they have it in stock still. It's more likely they have newer ones than older. Try contacting Consumer Affairs and see what they have to say. (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: Lego colors compared to PANTONE (TM) or HKS

(...) I finished being a grad student last year, but I still think I might be able to use a spectrometer. :-) But I don't think we have one in the lab where I work now. :-( I will check it, when my LEGO arrives in town.   Re: 8448 Rally Car

(...) Sounds like an interesting project but don't put the time limit preassure on yourself, instead let it take the time it needs and don't be afraid to remake chunks of your work.   Re: buckets

Actually, they're both pretty good value. The 4107 is 1000 pieces, not 600 and it's not too bad. Obviously, it's not quite as good as the classic 3033 (it has more smaller bricks and not as many larger 1 x 8's etc), but it does have gray, dark gray (...)   buckets

Since I was early to meet my family at the skating rink, I stopped off at Target hoping that perhaps some old 8880 sets may have materialized (hey, gotta fantasize about something!).   Re: Unoffical LEGO Event Web Calendar

(...) Thank you. I kept checking iCalShare for something like this; when none appeared I decided to take the plunge and build one myself. I was fun to put it together and see how much worldwide LEGO activity there is every week. John (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Unoffical LEGO Event Web Calendar

(...) Thanks for the support. I hope everyone finds it as useful as I have. I am relying on Apple's web server to render the .ics file, so I have little control over how the web page looks. I am submitting a bunch of feature requests for iCal 2.0, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  6335 Stickers

Hi all, I recently bought set 6335 (used) and some stickers on the main truck are tattered, and the truck's front sticker "Octan" is not there. I know the word "Octan" (not the logo, just the word) has been used widely in Lego sets. So, anybody know (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

New 2003 sets. Are they really so cool ?

(...) I guess that the new "Discovery" sets are not so good as they should be. The Space Shuttle Discovery is in details NOT so precise as the Technic model or as other Model Team sets.
