  Re: Technic 1999

One thing I noticed about 8269 - TEAL RIMS!!!! YES!!!! Unfortunately only 2, so I'm going to have to buy 2 sets just to build one car, but the fan inserts in them will make a cool "hubcap" for the rims. And 8251 has the same rims in yellow. Well, (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) Wish we could get that here. It's 6:15pm and 60.3F outside right now. Pretty crappy December, if you ask me. I don't know the last time I sweated on my birthday, but it looks like I'll be doing it this year. :/ (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New pics from LEGOLAND

WOW! Great models as you'd expect! But it has been put together superbly as well! Go to the airport section to see how all Lego dioramas should be presented. You start off with a rather disappointing shot that shows the entire thing in no detail. (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New 1999 catalog images.

(...) Indeed. Those are the kind of finds that Lego should be famous for. A piece can be a flag for a (Guarded) Inn, or just the drapes on a ladies' carriage.   Catalog Format question

Maybe I missed information about this -- are pages 9 through 12 (the LEGO Mania 1999) a foldout centerfold spread? It appears that pages 6 through 8 and 13 through 15 are each three-page spreads, which would be consistent with a double-foldout (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
