I'm hoping we will have a significant core of dedicated pirateheads so
the game will keep flowing. We will probably have to have some set times
where players who haven't played before can start (though asking them to
watch the game for a few turns would give them some acclimation time,
especially if a little extra time is spent explaining things).
Ultimately the rules are simple enough that anyone who has ever gamed
before will be able to watch a turn or two, and jump right in (and I'm
expecting that almost all of our come and go crowd will be gamers).

I think we've also thought about having some swapmeet time where Lindsay
could easily double the money on some of his loot... (Lindsay, one of
these days I need to take lessons from you, the other week one of our
K-Marts had a whole gazoot of Desert Skiffs at half price, probably
would have been a grand opportunity for your wheeling and dealing).

I wouldn't mind crash space, if it's bedless, I'll just lose a little
room for LEGO and carry my lawn chair (I use a lawn chair as a cot when
camping, and when going to church youth group retreats - this latter
started after going to one church which had a particularly hard floor,
and the second evening I remembered that a lawn chair lived in my car).

I think the main thing we're going to potentially need more of than I
might have is cutters (though I do have enough material for another 20
or 30 or more cutters (after all, Lindsay sent me 4 cutters from the UK
a few months back - a couple Sail 'n Fly Marinas). If I don't get around
to building them before hand, I can always bring the various unbuilt
pirate ships I have, and someone can have fun Friday night.

I think it would bear consideration to lock up in the dead of the night,
but if we can line up some graveyard guards, that would be an advantage.
I'd be real inclined to let anyone who does a night guard shift play for
free, or at least get an up front discount (we had talked about
refunding GMs and gophers and such if we cleared more than we spent -
though as someone who doesn't have a tight budget, as long as I get to
have fun, I don't want to be reimbursed, for me, it will be worth it to
spend $30 to get to run the pirate game with a big crowd).
