Re: Reason for my Recent Absense

(...) Dan, my most sincere condolences to you and your family. I am sure it has been a tough battle for you all as I know how such things can be. Take the time off you need. I am sure everyone will understand. My thoughts go to you. -GM Hendo (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Reason for my Recent Absense

Hi all, sorry to post another one of these hiatus things. For about two weeks I've been visiting the hospice where my grandmother was dying of cancer. I have been very sad and depressed over this and also very unwilling to keep up with what I have (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Re: Robot Brain

(...) So, I should have used the regular rules. *Sigh* (...) Cool. (...) I'm looking forward to writing the program. I think that's the most interesting part of the RB. I was thinking of using a flow chart type program. ~Chris (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Pirate Gaming Schedule Updated

(...) Hmm, I live near Tacoma, WA. If it's in the late part of July, I might be able to come down. I'm moving into a new house on June 25th, so the first part of the month is right out. (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming, FTX)

  Pirate Gaming Schedule Updated

See (URL) the Pirate Gaming Schedule> for the latest on when Pirate Gaming will occur. In addition to Origins, GenCon, and BrickFest which have already been discussed, I'm planning on hosting a Pirate Game at my apartment near Portland Oregon some (...)   Re: Robot Brain

(...) The RV rules are for the 2000 edition, and the (latest) rulebook is 2001. There were a bunch of changes between the two years, so I'm not surprised if you're hitting inconsistencies. Most of the RV rules got absorbed into the regular vehicles (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Robot Brain

(...) Yes, I'm using the RV rules. Is there a newer version of those rules, or something I should be aware of? I was under the impression they were the rules to use when building a battlemech. I have noticed inconsistancies with the RV rulebook and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Robot Brain

(...) Nah, I think Chris is using the old RV rules from 2000, where robot brains were still worth something (RV.4.1). I don't see any reason why you can't combine a robobrain and other pilots, as long as the robot still has to follow a program (and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Gaming creations found

Browsing around on BrickShelf, I found these creations: (URL) like a bunch of characters and NPCs for D&D gaming (Freeport is a series of D&D modules for example). Frank (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Robot Brain

(...) I'd say "sorta". A "robot brain" is really a detrimental aspect of a trooper rather than of an actual vehicle, hence your vehicle with the simple "robot brain" addition would still have no Skill, thus being still sorta inanimate. So I'd score (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)
