My quick answer is this: Every fan of LEGO who wants to be part of this community is. No need to post on a website, to have a folder on Brickshelf or be member of BrickLink, a LUG or the FLL... Over the better part of the last year, I've done a lot of thinking about the LEGO hobby and the LEGO community, trying to develop a philosophy on it which I use to channel my efforts, energies, and interactions. As long as everything's documented (receipts would be good, but that ain't happening) the collection's covered as a regular possession under my normal homeowners policy, just like a TV or (...)
