  Re: LEGO brick bookends

(...) I havn't tried it but my guess would be that it would be too light just using bricks. You could try a couple of things I can think of off the top of my head. 1. Use a heavy object (A real brick?) surrounded by LEGO bricks to add weight. 2. Or (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.fun.crafts)

  LEGO brick bookends

Has anyone made bookends using LEGO bricks? I wonder how thick/big/heavy they have to be in order to work nicely? In terms of "real" bookends I've only had luck with marble or stone bookends -- even wood tends to be too light. But LEGO brick (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jun-00, to lugnet.fun.crafts)

Over-sized Easter Egg plans on Brickshelf

I can't believe anybody wanted to duplicate my insanity... But since some of you did, I posted the plans on Brickshelf. (URL) forewarned: the plan is a large JPEG. There is a half-sized version, but it doesn't show the gridlines. The rest of this (...) (24 years ago, 22-Apr-00, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.build)

(...) You are sooo wrong. Please document this rare find during the excavation and reclamation process of your bricks. Greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Easter Egg builder goes nuts!

That Big Egg is great! I love it! That must have took a lot of planning. When Easter's over, you could always build a lego facehugger from "A L I E N" for the top of it. But seriously, nice work! (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.general)

Probably...although I believe their eggs are generally of a rectangular fiberous form, with small flexible polymer sacs inside where the pieces begin their life. (...) That's awesome! I really like it. You did a good job with the shape, too; getting a true egg form is difficult. So is that where Lego bricks come from? They're hatched? :) Chris (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.general)

LEGO Easter Egg builder goes nuts!

If anyone needs me for the next few days, you might want to check the local funny farm. My wife may have just checked me in. The reason is that I just spent way too much time building a way-too-large easter egg. It's 32 bricks long and wide and 36 (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.general) !

  Re: LEGO Easter Egg Hunts

(...) A few years ago the Easter Bunny broke up a DUPLO safari set and hid the pieces in eggs around the house for my older son. It would be great to do it with LEGO this year, what with some of the great poly bags and small sets EB has accumulated (...)
