THen again, if you look at the history of LUGNET and the postings of
individuals, up until relatively recently not much has had to be enforced and no
one was banned, and the noise-to-signal ratio has been extremely low.
So the 'spirit of the law' presides--the admins don't use their opverwhelming
power to smite individuals at whim here at LUGNET, and, for the most part, the
newsgroups are quite a joy to read! (except those in rtlToronto, surprise
surprise--probably left over from the rtl days...)
THe letter of the law is there for 'just in case' issues.
Thru the corse of events here at LUGNET, the admins have shown that justice is,
in fact, the defacto standard.
