Re: Lingo and dialects (Was: Stub error (2002): can't find rtm.exe)

Jeremy: (...) You're welcome. (...) Yup. (...) Actually we write "katalog" or "folder". The latter is Very Bad(tm) Danish, because the actual meaning of the word "folder" is booklet, even though MS tries hard to change the meaning. (...) Use the (...) (26 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: lego books and magazines

(...) This is actually a FAQ item in the works. If anyone has any suggestions, *please* post them to lugnet.faq . Larry Pieniazek has mentioned _The World of Lego Toys_, copyright 1987. His was found at Disney Village in Orlando, Florida, but he (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

Lingo and dialects (Was: Stub error (2002): can't find rtm.exe)

(...) Thank you, Jacob, for the FAQ item! :-, Question about the term "catalog": I assume you meant "directory" (or "folder", etc. :-) Is the term "catalog" in use a lot in Denmark? I'm looking at this as a potential language issue. What should I (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Working sketch of FAQ item data format

(...) At what level would Exclude be in the way? Would you nix all items in the "excluded" file? Would it be selective, allowing certain headers (such as Subject) to remain? What purpose would it serve? Cheers, - jsproat (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Progress so far, and a new header

(...) Someone's taking cheap snots at my text... :-P (...) Yep. Path of least resistance for now. :-, I have every intention of editing these items, but with only 23 for right now, I'm still getting a feel for it. The FAQ items will be significantly (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: Format of FAQ items

(...) Verrry nice. I have often wanted something like this for browsing Yahoo!, but it would never crystalize in my mind. If that made any sense. :-, (...) Could you give a formatting option to use a single size fixed-width font, wrapped at, say, 78 (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Working sketch of FAQ item data format

(...) Off-the-wall question -- haven't thought about this -- just tossing it out: Would an 'exclude' also be useful in addition to 'include'? (Both are relatively easy to implement.) --Todd (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.faq)
