Talks and discussions:

...We've heard from Tim who wants to do a ldraw thing. Perhaps a "Get to know
ldraw" talk like last year and maybe some "hands on" tinkering or • demonstrations
by ldraw artists showing off the "inner workings" of their ldraw designs.

I'm thinking an hour on Saturday afternoon, so we'll have the crowds at a peak
for the weekend.  This year it may be Q&A, but it'll also be some discussions on
the future of LDraw, hands on with certain programs (Erik Olson is coming and
I'd only assume he'd bring his laptop and demonstrate BrickDraw3D - the new Mac
editor).  I'll have the posters from Kidvention (very nice large high quality
renderings, laminated, impressive), the big banner sign (so we can have a
permanent table), etc.  I'll have to get together with other LDrawheads and plan
this thing - I can't put a ton of energy into it like I did for Kidvention, but
if we have a few people 'running' it and they can each chip in a bit it will
work out nicely.

I will hopefully have a laptop of my own by then with most of the stuff
installed, people could play with it on there, and we can share tips and tricks
for configuring software and installing, maybe if there's a good POV person
there they could show different features of rendering, etc.  Its all up in the
air, but it'll be less of an improv disaster than last year ;-)

I just remember downloading all that stuff, pressing y a bazillion times cause I
didn't enter the command line right, then remembering I had it all on CD in my
folder.  :-)  We'll be a little more prepared than that.

-Tim

...So this is a time to bring it up... You've listed the basic things on the "schedule"... but what else do we add/who volunteers to do a talk? (most of this post is incoherent free associating... just babbling to see what ideas come out... feel (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
