Well, as far as Technic goes, there will be a room for Technic/Mindstorms MOCs
as well the seperate space allocated for the competitions. In my mind, Technic
and Mindstorms are very closely associated in the sense that Mindstorms is a
later set of CPU brick and sensor add-ons to the earlier and clearly well
established Technic line. The competitions are open to any 100% Lego contestant
MOC, without any rules stipulating that they contain Mindstorms elements. I
cannot see an easy way to make a contestant MOC, for either the Sumo, Pipe Racer
or Maze competitions without having to include a Mindstorms or Spybotics CPU,
but I would love to be proved wrong by someone :)
So I encourage everyone to show up with their Technic MOCs for display as well
as their contestant robots for all three of the competitions. The competitions
have worthwhile prizes, so don't let someone else walk away with them too
easily!
