(...) In the UK train shows (in my experience) are run by clubs, rather than companies set up to running shows as some seem to be in US (correct me if I am wrong). In the case of a small convention like BV then there simply aren't the funds to let all the volunteers in for free. In that case you have to set the (...) Not sure I agree there either - speaking as an organiser of Brickvention, all the organisers, helpers, presenters, etc paid registration, it meant the difference between a small loss and a large loss. Even our Australian LEGO Ambassador paid (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)
