  thanks!

I'd like to offer our thanks in advance for all of you who are contributing your inspiration and creativity to the Kidvention, which is kicking off at LEGOLAND in Carlsbad tomorrow. So to the members of LDraw, GMLTC, and BayLUG, thank you -- we hope (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.events)

  MIBO Instructions and Program?

Hey... I've been talking with a representative from Lego about getting parts for a MIBO dog to build at the Kidvention (LDraw display) and she told me that it is possible to obtain them. I sent Jin an email about a week ago and haven't gotten a (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.events)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

(...) words, (...) collectible (...) Another thought - print up a bunch of Lugnet buisiness cards and have all the Lugnet folks who _won't_ be working a display cary a bunch. If they are near one of the display, and someone seems very interested, (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.events)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

(...) A couple more reasons... * If Castle World were mentioned by name or acronym on the sheet, it would need to be explained what it is. "Train Club" and "Users Group", OTOH, are rather self-explanatory. * The name "Castle World" could cause (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

In lugnet.events, Todd Lehman gives a lot of reasons... <snip> Well <sigh>, I suppose that's understandable. :-) -Shiri (24 years ago, 6-Jul-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

(...) Well, the phrase "or Train Club" was actually added as a second thought. It first simply had said, "Find or start a LEGO Users Group in your area," but after learning that LEGO is promoting the idea of "LEGO Train Club" on their Kidvention (...) In lugnet.events, Todd Lehman writes: [snip] (...) Well this won't be very helpful, but it looks great. I think you hit all the important points. Too bad about the flyers, but I hope the signs draw people. Chris (24 years ago, 1-Jul-00, to lugnet.events)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

(...) Yes, I must second this. One of the best things about Lugnet is, IMO, CW. Now, yes, I'm bias, being a member, but I think it's only fair that something is mentioned on Castle World's behalf... -Chris (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

(...) It's very good, I just have one gripe... ...no mention of CW. I know it's not sponsered by LUGNET, but the fact is it was born and raised here, and still exists mostly within LUGNET's walls. And the fact that you mention the train orgs, but (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Kidvention -- What is LUGNET?!?!

(...) Here's what the flyer would have looked like -- half a sheet of U.S. Letter Size paper -- 5.5" wide by 8.5" tall: (URL) it would have used a 53 LPI halftone screen, so the grays wouldn't look quite that sharp. Anyway, here's what the color (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.events)
