(...) LEGO is Danish, not Dutch. Denmark, not the Netherlands. And, you'll find their standard response is "we do all our developement in- house, we do not accept designs from people outside the company"... (And since a good friend of mine worked (...) (...) Oh, I think you may be misinterpreting. The quote says "LEGO publicized the fact that these sets are intended for younger, less-experienced builders in their catalogs in Europe, but not in the U.S. The lack of explanation has turned off a (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

SO this is the piece you were referring to, James: (...) This is a bit ambiguous, and I read it to mean that TLG *publicized* and explained the rationale in catalogs in Europe but not in the US, not that the younger and less experienced builders (...)   Re: Item suggestions for the 200x LEGO System Collection.

(...) The fact that LEGO bothered to explain it for the european consumers but not the americans has put James off. After reading James' posting I went and read that myself, and did not deduct the same as he. I see we are more agreeing about what it (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)
