 Dear LEGO / 4147 (-20)
  Space legends, my thoughts...

Lets face some facts: 1.we cant get classic space helmets and 2.TLC/LD isnt going to be dumb enough to do classic space with new figs and/or new-type helments (it would look ugly, I tried to put some futuron figs in my Walking Astro Grappeler and it (...)   Re: Advent Calendar: 4124 vs. 4524

(...) Whew, that makes me glad I *did* give my kids a Playmobil calendar last year, even though I was swearing to myself at the time about all the boxes you have to assemble-- this year the creator calendar is new to them. Plus I appreciate the "no (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub

(...) Hmm...seems interesting enough...If only lego would release something as great as that, but then again, that would defeat the purpose of accessory kits, now, wouldn't it? <<_Matt Hein_>> Fellow lego enthusiast (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub

(...) I thought it would be really cool to have a bucket of bricks, plates, slopes, & greeblies & maybe a fig or 2 ALL in one color (except the fig(s) ), just to see the FORM of an idea, kind of a test-build bucket, then assign colors from your own (...)   4795 Ogel Underwater Base - Extra parts?

Hi all, I recently picked up a 4795 Ogel's Underwater Base, which IMO is a pretty decent set if you get it on special (I got mine for AU$60). Anyway, after finishing I noticed I had a handful of parts. Hey ho, nothing special, happens to me all the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Any thoughts on making bricks in a 'brick red' color?

Anyone besides me think that this would make a nice color to have for constructing realistic looking brick buildings? (URL) had hopes that the sand red might be a good substitute for real bricks, but it's a bit light. The dark orange (a la Yoda's (...) (22 years ago, 11-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Upcoming USS Constellation - Name Change??

(...) Actually, looking at the instruction scans, (URL) appears that 398 comes with (URL) the wheels (which in every other set I have seen comes with wheels on a metal axle). Although this part is common with wheels, it would require a (nontrivial?) (...) (22 years ago, 6-Dec-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Upcoming USS Constellation - Name Change??

(...) I agree with what "Duq" wrote. TLC releases products not to be collectible items, but for children (primarily) to PLAY with. As long as you have the original box, parts, and instructions, your set (assuming it's in a good condition) will (...) (22 years ago, 6-Dec-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Upcoming USS Constellation - Name Change??

Stop moaning please. Exactly what are you so proud of? The only three rare bits you own are stickers, instructions and box. None of the parts are all that hard to come by. The hardest would be the 1x1 windows, and they have been replaced by 1x1 (...) (22 years ago, 6-Dec-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Upcoming USS Constellation - Name Change??

Dear Brad, Jake, and anyone else watching, I am the owner of two (2) original USS Constellation sets, fulfilling a childhood dream. I paid quite a bit of money for them a couple of years ago, and was proud to be a member of a very small group of (...) (22 years ago, 6-Dec-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Is Brickshelf slow for anyone else lately?

(...) Yea, so, of course, you are probably right. There is a huge potential for them to muck it all up. I guess I just dream of it being well supported, as well as being a strong community for sharing our Lego projects. I think TLG has the resources (...)   Re: Is Brickshelf slow for anyone else lately?

The speed -or lack thereof- of Brickshelf wouldn't have anything to do with high-trafic sites using Brickshelf for all their picture content? Duq "Frank Filz" <ffilz@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:3DE55B80.461BBE...ing.com... (...) anyway. (...) (22 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Is Brickshelf slow for anyone else lately?

(...) NOOOOO. You don't want TLC to buy BrickShelf. Why? You think there is moderation now? You think it's painfully slow now? On the other hand, TLC could (and does) support BrickShelf. Kevin could do some investigation of costs though, and come to (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Is Brickshelf slow for anyone else lately?

You are right, Jon. People need to realize that "free" is relative anyway. Sure, Kevin did a great deed in setting up the site and helping to build the community. However, it is part of a community, and it looses most of its value if the community (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Color problems with label on 4107 tub

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Last night I purchased two 4107 assorted Creator tubs. The label on the side of the tub shows a breakdown of what quantity of each part you're getting and in what color. Now, if you're standing in line at the (...)   Re: hmmmm... What about us?

Right on! I say there oughta be! And when I go Visit I want to be able to buy Lego there from a real LEGO Store just like at home! PLUS if I'm on Tour with my Robots - I would like to be able to get Parts I need for them from a place that has a (...) (22 years ago, 12-Nov-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.dear-lego)

Bigger pictures for the website please...

Dear Lego, when looking at items in the webshop the pictures are rather small. I would love to see bigger, higher resolution pictures so I can make a better judgement on the design and parts content of a set. At the moment those pictures are some (...)
