 Dear LEGO / 2767 (-10)
  Re: This is scaring me...

Yeah, I think you've misunderstood just a bit. I personally think it's a great idea. Why? Well, to be honest I wouldn't use it myself, but I don't think it'll replace the new sets. Lego is looking to expand itself, not radically change suddenly. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: This is scaring me...

One thing to consider is to look what is happening to the 'e-business' companies such as Amazon.com and Etoys.com. They are not making any $$. This Christmas is the 'make or break' for them to actually turn a profit. I don't see e-commerce taking (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: This is scaring me...

(...) But think of this: there are people here who design way better technic models than Lego ever does. You could buy *those* as sets! (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: This is scaring me...

It isn't/won't. TLC will always design sets - heck, the have the SW license through 2007! The new software will be a supplement product, like Mosaic. As to the exact details of what it will contain, none of us know yet. Will it be a wide range of (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  This is scaring me...

Most people love the idea of being able to design sets online and order them. I don't like it. I might try it, but I really hope that TLC continues to design sets to sell in stores. Here's why having all LEGO online would be bad-- - They would (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Studios Broken . . . help?

This whole discussion, plus some work I've been doing recently to produce a video that shows what my FLL team has been up to over the last 12 weeks, leads me to ask a question (note: I don't own studios, and I run Win2K, so if I did own it, only my (...)   Re: Studios Broken . . . help?

(...) I have Windows ME. I originally had Win2000 which the catalog said they also supported. Tech support assured me it would not work in Win 2000, only in Win98SE and Win ME. I switched to Win ME and it loaded fine and I can use it. I have not (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Studios Broken . . . help?

But on the website, they say they support ME as well: ---...--- Will LEGO Studios and the LEGO Cam work with Windows Millennium Edition? LEGO Studios currently supports the Windows 98 operating system. We realize the release of Windows Millennium (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: What's Left? (Classic)

(...) <snip> (...) remotely (...) I have to agree with one of the other posts. Your idea that the large SW ships are too big for Lego to bother could be wrong. Someone had a really good idea about the Tantive IV being made into a set. Ok. Well, I (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Studios Broken . . . help?

In lugnet.dear-lego, Jason Rowoldt writes: <snip> (...) Well I think this might be your problem. If you look at the box you will see that LEGO, in their infinite wisdom, have made LEGO studios only compatible with Windows 98. Pretty silly I think (...)
