 Dear LEGO / 1832 (-20)
  Re: Old Sets?

(...) I have no problems with your suggestion, Elliot. Its just that having seen TLC idea of a new castle set (i.e. castle 2000 sets) don't you think it would just be nicer to have older sets re-released? I'm all for new Black Falcon sets if TLC (...)   Re: Elements I'd like to see...

Aren't these available from Pitsco-LEGO Dacta as Order Number W779938, Conveyor Belt Links? Try this simple URL: (URL) start at (URL) click on Order Online, then click on Spare Parts, then Miscellaneous, then Conveyor Belt Links. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Old Sets?

Why re-release old sets? I'd rather TLC just make new and better sets. Or make NEW sets for OLD themes. For example, new Black Falcon sets. <hint, hint> Thanks, Elliot Hyde (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Old sets

(...) after (...) Lawrence, I'm mostly in your camp, but I do believe that perhaps TLC should rerelease a "few" old sets to the public as a mass market "Lego Classics" collection. Occasionally Lego makes sets that just blow everything else away. My (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Old sets

(...) I am sorry but I just dont see this. And I dont think Lego do either, which is why they dont do it. I think they do listen and say "why dont people understand the economics of doing this?" The fact is Lego are in the mass market, they try to (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Old sets

Hmmm... here's my latest conspiracy theory. (I enjoy these greatly but FUT .o-t.fun because most of the people here are prolly not interested ;-) TLC are just biding their time. They are waiting until the prices in eBay go over 10x the original MSRP (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Old sets

(...) They probably keep about ten copies of each (maybe more, maybe less) but if they do, they surely won't have them for sale... The issue of rereleasing sets has come up numerous times, too bad TLC (1) refuses to listen. They would make great (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

(...) One of the best pieces Lego should revive for future sets are the tracks from the technic bulldozer set #856 . They were the most realistic tracks ever put on any set. The new rubber tracks are not that good for the technic line they simply (...) (25 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Log Walls needed

(...) I've ranted about wanting a foreign legion theme before. Return of the Soldiers! And tan colored castles would mark the return of the Crusader Knights! A can't miss scheme if I ever heard one! Kevin (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) <snipped often> (...) Agreed. I'd like more animals - Duplo has the most now - and make them articulated (at least head movement like the horse and polar bear). (They've "juniorized" the Duplo elephant! Couldn't guess why). (...) This actually (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) <snip> (...) A lot of good ideas here... I think TLC doesn't make some of the things you suggest at minifig scale because they would be too small. As a company, LEGO always has to be aware of choking hazards. And parents probably don't like (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Stuff I'd like to see...

To Whom It May Concern (and therefore the least likely to actually read it): TLC's ambitions are probably an exercise in overreaching. Belville will never be Barbie. These terrible video games will never compete with Doom or Myst. These timepieces (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  More idea books, please

I've always enjoyed the Lego Idea Books. It's been a couple of years since they made one, even longer since they made a Technic-oriented one. How about more of them? Maybe even one per year? (Sounds good to me, anyway ;-) - Greg (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
