But will Harry stand the test of time?  It prolly seemed like a good idea • at
the time to hop in bed with Goose Bumps at the height of its popularity as
well-- not a kid on the planet reads that drivel any more.  And Goose Bumps
and the Ninja Turtles and the Power Rangers better move over, because • Pokeman
will soon be on its way to the "where are they now file" [1] too.

This is true, however I don't know of many adults that liked Ninja or
Goosebumps. Every Adult I know that has children that read the Harry Potter
books, have also become fans. I don't know of any children's book that has
appealed to adults (men and women) like this series has. One friend even
mentioned the series in her annual Christmas letter and how her and her
husband were fans.

I have not read the book. My children are 5 weeks and 3 3/4 years old. The
response from adults has raised my curiosity about this series. I will have
to get a copy from the library.
