But will Harry stand the test of time?  It prolly seemed like a good idea at
the time to hop in bed with Goose Bumps at the height of its popularity as
well-- not a kid on the planet reads that drivel any more.  And Goose Bumps
and the Ninja Turtles and the Power Rangers better move over, because Pokeman
will soon be on its way to the "where are they now file" [1] too.

Disney and Star Wars and McDonald's are about as safe a bet as one can find--
we'll see if Harry lasts in 5 years.  On that note, I think the latest Castle
theme could easily have been called Narnia-- they even have the Lion motif
already going!  Now *there's* a time-tested series.

Goose bumps was appreciated by a younger audience. Harry Potter (from my family's perspective): My grandfather: 75 loves the series, mother: 50, loved it, myself: 24 - can't get enough....all the way down to my 31 year old brother reading it to my 4 (...) (25 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
