Re: A question about doing inventories

(...) I kind of thought that they codes for which mold section they came from and or color? I did know that they were not the part #'s. I was/am trying to cast the widest net for responses :^) Mike (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.inv)

  A question about doing inventories

I decided to do a inventory of 1815 Paradisa Lifeguard and have a question or three :^) What is the best naming convention? Auczilla? partsref? Peeron? just use whatever I come up with? I have found LDraw part #'s for most of it so far, some of the (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.inv)

Re: Another (semi-) standard field for inventories

  Re: Part 6072

(...) Yeah, I'd rather do .6 or .7 or .67 or even b2p than & 2/3, but that's the existing standard, and I'm not prepared to tackle a re-do. Steve (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Part 6072

ok, we changed ours to match that (it won't appear on the web site until i update it there though, which will be later, i'm busying inventorying the 5571 right now, so whenever i finish that). not to be whatever, but i'm not a big fan of (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Part 6072

(...) I'll mostly agree with Clark and Heather. For LDraw-ish-ness, I'd go with "Castle Turret 7 x 7 x 2 & 1/3 Quarter". If this part is ever modeled in LDraw, it's likely the existing part, (URL), would be renamed to "Castle Turret 4 x 8 x 2 & 1/3 (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Part 6072

Well, the half-octagonal <part:6066> is "Castle Turret Top 4 x 8 x 2 & 1/3" according to LDRAW, so this one could be similar - perhaps "Castle Turret Corner 7 x 7 x 2 & 1/3". Should start with Castle, anyway, so as to sort with the other Castle (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Part 6072 Name suggestion

Castle Turret Quarter 7 x 7 x 2 & 1/3 Since it's one-fourth of a complete turret and similar to the Castle Turret Top. (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Part 6072

  Part 6072

I just noticed that part 6072 (according to Peeron) has a really bad name right now: Crenelations 7 x 7. Now, I really hate this piece, but it's been around for eight years now and I would have had no idea what it was if I didn't own set 6076. Does (...)   Update to our inventories!

Well, we noticed that we hadn't posted in a while, and found that since our last post in Dec, we've added 56 sets! We're up to 397 with more added all the time. A special thanks to Heather Patey, Jeff Stembel, and Steve Bliss for helping with this (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.db.inv)
