  Re: Solar-Powered Hexapod Walker

The solar cell barely has the juice to drive the 5225 motor, and that's both under direct sunlight and under a 2 million candlepower spotlight at 6 inches. (...)   Re: Solar-Powered Hexapod Walker

Regarding the solar powered walker and the mars rover, both are cool looking robots! I find that solar panel particularly interesting. Perhaps put a solar panel on each side, with each panel connected to one side of the robot... So when there is (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.dacta)

Thanks for the info on the solor cell and capacitor, I've been wondering how well they work. Gary BTW: nice bot! Micah J. Mabelitini <micahx@kih.net> wrote in message news:3AB7204C.1AAE5E...kih.net... (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.dacta)

  Solar-Powered Hexapod Walker

I built a simple solar-powered hexapod last weekend with some new parts I ordered from Pitsco. The walker is quite slow, using the LEGO solar cell to power a 5225 9V motor, which drives a worm gear coupled directly to a 24T gear. I've found the LEGO (...)   Re: dacta hospital

Hey Tony, not to criticize you, but that fact has been already mentioned, and the fact that the instructions this way make it next to impossible to copy. (...) Is there more than one Dacta hospital? We've got a copy of the hospital set with green (baseplate) floors, white (5-high bricks) walls, red-frame windows, and no roof. Great for playing, not so great for model-building. Steve (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.dacta)
