  Re: Color Change background

(...) Jake, I have said nothing on the color issue so far. I do not have a big collection, so it will not affect me that much personally. And I am sorry that you've been given so much grief over this matter. However, please convey this reality check (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX) !

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Thanks Jake for giving us the full story. I am in the camp that appreciates your diligence and suffering to bring the truth to the AFOL community. Whether I agree or disagree (cough disagree cough) with LEGO's choice, I think you've done a (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Color Change background

As someone who has run into situations like this in business before, I can understand the situation. It's hard to make changes that are necessary to improve the product due to the impact on existing customers. Where Lego missed the boat on this (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) I think "organically" in this context means that the broadening of the color palette was not guided by a deliberate, structured plan and was instead allowed to grow to suit the needs that arose over time. Dave! (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Color Change background

Jake, Thanks for working on getting this info, but... (...) Detail, please - exactly which way do you mean "organically" here? It can have more than one meaning, one which is {very good} for anyone building realistic displays. (...) There is a TON (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)

(...) Yep, typo. Making messages without spell/grammer ccheckk will do that to you. (Yes, I know. It's intentional.) Have Fun! C-ya! Rich (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Rich, I have to pick on you, buddy ;-) Above, you say 'inciteful [1].' I can't tell if that was a genuine typo, or if you meant it as a reference to how any official posts about the color issue incite harsh posts against the company and the (...)   Re: Color Change background

(...) Ok Folks, It's been a long time since I've been flamed (quick check to my behind to see if 3rd deg burns have sufficiently healed over... yup), so I guess it's time to get my fanny fried again. (...) That was also my thought. Wait a few months for the film to be released and let all the 7-12 years olds have the launch batch for themselves. Martin (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: The Knight Bus problem

(...) Thanks for the info Martin. I've been interested in this set and am still considering buying it. I've seen pictures of the color difference and it makes it a tough call if I want to invest dollars in it. Maybe I'm just someone who sees the (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: The Knight Bus problem

(...) Hey this is cool. Thanks for the post. It does seem as thoa Lego is trying to fix the problem internally. I can give them slack for: 1) a new color (takes time to make sure it works right) 2) a new process? (using multiple ABS suppliers, gotta (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Dude, Sorry you feel this way. I have sworn up and down to stay out of the color post issue, but I've had enough. I will not challenge your opinion, because that is all that it is, just an opinion.
