Hey, I finally found what I think is a tolerably solid windows tool that
does the same thing.  It's called HTTrack Website Copier, find it at:

http://www.httrack.com/index.php

To achieve good results I found that one has to get into the options, and in
particular one *must* mess with the robots.txt rules (which you are
generally warned not to do).

I will probably rarely use this tool, but it's good to have in the arsenal.
