Sure. Same rules apply that apply to everything else, though: courtesy,
co-operation and creativity. IOW, don't just randomly kill characters
without the permission (and participation!) of their creator.
And don't just kill them because you think it's a dumb idea, kill them
because it advances the plot. :)
After all, if you don't like them, you can just pretend they don't exist.
If a reporter reports in the forest, and nobody hears them...
