... it doesn't matter really does it?

I personally like the colours :)

I think that as castle fodder, yes it does matter. Unless castleheads intend
to start following LEGO design themes and we start to see psycadelic, fruit
flavored, or candy-coated castles!

Well actually... I am working on "Paradisa" castle...

Haha!  See... there will always be someone who wants something different...
for something different :)

Not only for Frank's Castle but I myself use these things for a more
'normal' looking town theme rather than a boring 5 tone type town.  And who
know's...  am sure If I built a whole theme based on 'Excalibur' then that
too wouldn't be just boring colours.

But I don't really see them trading in
their browns, blacks, tans and greys for orange, purple, and transparent
pastels.

The only thing I see being able to be made out of some of the HP elements is
the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard!

There's enough earth tones in there that I personally will be happy to
get some far out colors. Also, I can buy grey bricks etc, I can't buy
bricks in far out colors.

Exactly :)  These colours and more will always be useful to someone... I
think some people seem too scared? to try something different and use a
little colour.  Even in Space themes I could imagine extra colour.  And
castles too, specially for interior.  The colours can be used for a fantasy
castle too.  I love the whole egyptian theme because of the different colour
scheme lego had with it.

But anyway... my personal opinion... you can always throw or sell these
particular pieces you do not like :P

Perhaps this is old news to you observant readers, but as I see it that small set where Harry seems to be sitting on top of a big table, is the sorting hat with a spinning dial containing the four houses! I think that is such a great idea. (I won't (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)
