Re: In Search of Pieces after Dark Ages

(...) Ew. 'Course I'm biased... I don't really like using baseplates (the RR baseplates and the DF baseplates being the only two exceptions to the rule)... I'm for building my own landscapes or using standard 32x32 flat baseplates :) (...) Rule 1: (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

I suppose I don't want to know what 117 pounds ends up as in US dollars.... Bruce (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

(...) Hehe.. well if I did the conversion correctly, since MSN shows the GBP at 1.4380 (1.44 rounded) USD, then it would put it at $168.48USD :) I was pondering that myself, but my potential purchase would only be about $35 USD hehe. Joel (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

(...) I thought I indicated I didn't want to know!!!! Auuuuuuggggghhhhhh! eBay sales must accelerate (hmmmm, still have a half dozen zeppelins and gungan subs)! Actually, I was thinking the pound might be as high as $1.60 - I haven't really been (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

(...) Only 117 pounds? Conservative purchases, there... Or maybe you just don't have a lot of friends who want to buy stuff, too. :D I am very happy they accept US credit cards, though. :) Jeff (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans! (5138)

This is the link: (URL) inside the bright lights may blind you! For you will look upon the Holy Grail, the –BEST- accessory pack ever offered! 5138 was first offered back in 1994! It has two pieces of body armor and two gray swords and so, so, (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  More info

Well, first off, I'd really, really appreciate it if you guys could have some patience with the upcoming announcement. It is about two months off and Lego does not want me to talk about it. In fact, I don't think I should have mentioned to begin (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

(...) Just me. I would have doubled my order if I could have used my PayPal standing funds to cover the purchase - and now that I think about, that's my largest expenditure on Lego at one pop ever as it is (mostly 'cause I make my Lego money scream (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

(...) I've sent my secret factor about $600 by Paypal (and I only got one each of the cannon service packs - I just wanted them for completeness, I've got a ton unopened as of yet)... Except that his window is just about closed, I could help you (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: More info

(Sorry about the empty post - my computer's been behaving very badly - constantly freezing up, you know the routine) Thanks for the imput, Jimmy! At the very least it was nice to have a shot at some of those out-of-production sets. It's also great (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Most ever spent on Lego

(...) What is the most you guys have ever spent on Lego in one day and not for resell? Jimmy (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Most ever spent on Lego

Mine is easy, the most I have spent is on the Yellow Castle, $150 or something. I may be an amateur, but if nothing else I bet this is the most that most castle people have spent on a single set (however much they paid for Yellow Castle). (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: July surprise for castle fans!

(...) LOL - sorry. kinda. ;) (...) Mmm... more brown cloak hoods.... must not give in....! (...) Welcome. I'm trying to decide if I can really afford even the $35 I'd spend. I hate budgetting. ;P JJ (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Most ever spent on Lego

(...) In one day? Only about $400. Unless you count when I spent about $600 on ebay auctions in one day-- I just didn't WIN them all that day, so it was kinda spread out more :) As for the most expensive set? Only about $150, I think-- for a 6067 (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Most ever spent on Lego

(...) Well, he did say "spent in one day", so I'd think that $600 counts. Other than the $1200 order for Mario, I'm thinking the most I've done in one day is about $600, but I'd have to dig through my receipts. (...) Hmm, most expensive set? (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Most ever spent on Lego

(...) Oh gosh no. Just checking Ebay for semi-recent sales reveals someone bought a 6067 (Guarded Inn) MISB for $232.50, a 6075 (yellow castle) for $207.50, a 6081 for $155.50, and an MISB 6090 for $152.50 :) And I seem to remember an MISB 6086 (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Most ever spent on Lego

(...) I've been watching that one (a different one?) that has 1 hour and 26 minutes to go as I type this, it's at $208, and it's in Germany, BUT....it has PayPal (and you understand I'm only mentioning this because I'm cheap and won't spend that (...)   Re: Most ever spent on Lego

(...) Huh-- I just don't see it for some reason, unless it's on a separate ebay site? Searches for "6086" "lego castle" "black knights castle" "dungeon masters" all came up nada for the one you're describing... But yeah, it's certainly not unheard (...)
