Re: On Paranoia: King Leo's Castle

(...) Oh come on. King Leo's Castle is a very Juniorized set. You can cheer it on in a general sort of way: yay, parents want to buy Castle for the holidays. But can you really cheer on Leo's castle itself? The line sold out all over New York too. (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Attila the Hun

The miniseries currently showing on USA is another remake of that good old Roman flick. Like all good Roman flicks, it shamelessly rearranges history to show us what we expect to see: a incompetent Emperor, a general loyal to Rome, intelligent women (...)   Re: On Paranoia: King Leo's Castle

(...) Call me paranoid, I guess. But I'm not sure that seeing it come into the outlet is necessarily a good sign, unless it's there at regular retail price. outlet == overstocks we want to get rid of. Or at least it used to long long ago... ++Lar (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: On Paranoia: King Leo's Castle

(...) The darned thing was simply one of TLCs Best Sellers this past holiday season. I think this says there WILL be more big Castle theme sets. Folk who saw them at X-mas shopping time grabbed them FAST, I noticed. Most stores won't see shelf stock (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  On Paranoia: King Leo's Castle

Here's a question to all you people out there who have regular access to good shopping areas. Have you seen King Leo's Castle <set:6091> lately? Here (Lafayette, IN) the shopping options are limited but not nonexistant (2 Kmarts, 2 Wal-Marts, 1 (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

Thanks everyone for the praise. In regards to the interior, there was a staircase leading to the roof, a royal dining hall, treasure room, etc. Unfortunately the pictures for the interior didn't come out well and everything is to dark. I think my (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

(...) No kidding! As a castle late-comer, I only own something like 6 of the classic-style castle wall pieces. Not to mention all the arches, inverted slopes, and massive amounts of grey involved, I don't think I could ever make anything like that. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Me again. Surely someone has got an idea how the complete Castle set should be arrange. Does the Yellow castle take centre stage? etc. etc.. (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

(...) Fo Real. My question is whether the whole "Empire" setup is made entirely out of legos. If so ... geez. I want to make a castle like that, but I doubt I would ever have enough bricks :) -- Pawel (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

(...) Very nice Brian! I like that it is built on the water, much like the stronghold I've been working on and off on. We both have a 6057 Sea Serpent docked in front too! Hope to see much more from you in the future. Keep up the good work! Thanks. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

(...) Brian, That castle is great, I can think of a million (well, lots) of backstories involving that castle on the water. Dang, where can I get a few hundred burps, now. George (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

(...) I think that is a *great* castle! Very solid looking - the whole thing, rather than just facades. A very formidable stronghold! Was there any interior? Any followups? I really like the left view - right out of some of the castle books! (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Hi Brian, Great Work! I really liked your castle! Nice design! I would like to see more pics including some of the inside and of the boat if you still have it together. If not, then get busy and build us another to look at! <chuckle> Welcome (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Model

(...) You know, I should just abandon my attempts to build castles, I'm just no good at making ones that look that cool. Great job, if it isn't destroyed already, I'd really like to see some internal shots, I noticed some hinge pieces used. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)
