Hi! A day late and a dollar short, but...
I'd read through all the rest of the posts here and was thinking about
what I listen to when I'm building. Usually it's just the radio, so I
have some white noise in the background to tune out and focus on what
I'm doing, but last night as I was driving home from cheer practice, I
came across the stuff I LOVE to listen to in my CD case.
Soundtracks - I LOVE sountracks wihtout any words. Jurassic Park (the
movie) and Myst (the computer games) are both ideal for castle building.
Both mix dark and ominous with bright and cheery to give a well rounded
atmosphere for listening.
A group I really like to listen to also is "Deep Forest." They have
three or four CD's out that take a micture of tribal chants and music as
well as more modern, techno beats to really turn out some fantastic
sounding pieces. I LOVE to listen to them too.
