  Re: Erik goes to Nihon

Well, ah reckon that's excellent, mate! :-) I like your method of scanning the 'models'... I can't do that 'cause I have an officeJet scanner (damn HP $*@#&!)... My mavica is nice but it's hard to get a minifig POV picture (it's so big, and the lens (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Shiri, I just got my Mavica, but I am finding it easier to use everyday...I have a "pub table" that is higher than your average table (about 3 1/2 ft) so I have been able to capture some interesting POV shots...I mount my models/figs o the (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Congrats! (...) That's a great idea... too bad I don't have a pub table ;-) Hmm... that got me thinnking... I should try to put my models on a few books on top of a table, then place the cam on the table... that would make the models at level (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) I use manual...autofocus just doesn't capture minifig faces well... My original pics taken w/ a 35 mm didn't turn out and cost over $30 to process...at that rate I would be able to buy 3 cameras in a few weeks... (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Yep... and when I want to focus on the minifig it'll sometimes focus on the bkground. (...) 'Zactly! The digicam is just so much better! -Shiri (FUT lugnet.publish) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.publish)

You could flip the camera upside down, take the pic, then rotate it right side up. Alan (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

You could flip the camera upside down, take the pic, then rotate it right side up with the computer. Alan (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Erik goes to Nihon

(...) Hey, thanks! Never thought of that! (d'oh! :) Although it's be kinda hard to take the pic when the cam's upsidedown (because the 'trigger' is on the top), I can turn it sideways so that the lens is on the bottom... (1) That's so simple, yet I (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.publish)

(...) I like my SLR thank you...film and all. Take a look at some of the pictures on my web page, esp. ones like: (URL) picture) (URL) picture) Yes, I do tend to make lots of bad pictures, but I can get some very nice photos as well. Developing (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Erik goes to Nihon

(...) I'd personally rather use my old manual with the 1:1 macro lens, but most of my equipment is geared towards outdoor photography. With film and developing costs prohibitively high, digital camera work seems better for me so far. But... efilm (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)

I have been waiting for this product for a while! Unfortunately, neither of my cameras are on the list (Nikon FE2 and a Pentax ME Super). Also, $700 is a bit on the high side. Christopher (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)
