  Re: Ghostmasters tower

(...) Hi Marco, Really great model and a lovely story to go with it. It's just packed with details and life which is something I love in dioramas. You can see the story unfolding before your very eyes. My favourite touch is the white picket fence... (...) (18 years ago, 4-Nov-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Luther Begins.

Hey Jojo, I was wondering if we would have another Luther installment from you this year. I don't know enough about his biography to know what other scenes you will do. Any hints on upcoming MOCs? Mind if I post this in CC? Or are you planning to do (...) (18 years ago, 1-Nov-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Stoneguard Hold

(...) 1x2 plates and 1x1 round plates would give you a more solid look, but at greater cost and weight. (...) Perhaps something like Kevin Blocksidge's (URL) onion dome> could be adapted to make a rounded roof. But really, those are nits. It's a (...) (18 years ago, 31-Oct-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Stoneguard Hold

(...) it's brill John and hoping to see it in person before it gets cannibalized for your next amazing creation =) what I'm liking most about this is the sense of motion with the water effects, it's all tight and a good example of making a broad (...)   Re: Stoneguard Hold

(...) There's several reasons I chose them, but the most important is that they give a much tighter curve than 1x3's. They also give a less "regular" appearance than 1x3 construction, where each round is aligned above or below each other. Finally, I (...) (18 years ago, 30-Oct-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Stoneguard Hold

(...) Thanks Tony! (...) I somewhat agree, but I'm yet to find a technique that lets you do round portions of that size while keeping them "solid" looking. It's also very parts intensive - On 4 of the towers, easy layer uses 10 1x2's and 10 1x1 (...) (18 years ago, 30-Oct-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Stoneguard Hold

(...) Thanks! This was my first try for a battle scene of any sort, and it was a lot of fun. I was inspired by the space bloody space invasion (and castle's triumphant win!) to add some action. -John L. (18 years ago, 30-Oct-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Stoneguard Hold
