New poll: how do you handle building interiors, backsides

Hi all, I figured I'd try putting up a poll for those of you who build buildings. I guess the main question I'm getting at is do you build buildings more for display (how they look as backdrop for your brickfilm or train layout or whatever), or more (...)   Re: Teaser and Help needed

(...) Hi Lenny, As with the others, I like your house, particularly the windows out front. Considering the windows that you have up by the battlements you might not want to designate it as a brothel. Soldiers on the ramparts would get a bit too (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Keep of Stonebarrow - Complete MOC

(...) Hi Anthony, There's not much new that I can add that hasn't already been said in praise of your MOC, so I'll take a different approach and ask a question :) How long do you keep your MOCs assembled? Do you take them apart once you've (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Castle World is dead.

(...) Why not do it on your own? You and the others have already attacked Richard and Pawel enough to illicit this kind of reply. Were I Richard, I'd feel the same way. Instead of unifying the community, you (and some others) are the ones dividing (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  A design idea

I apologize for the length of this post, but I felt it necessary to explain my idea to the fullest to avoid any confusion. Much discussion has been put into problems with having one dedicated person constantly updating Castle World. I agree, such a (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: A design idea

I mentioned something like this in passing once, here: (URL) "Again, with FTX I think we can use the 'cw' sub-newsgroup to achieve the same ends. Am I somehow missing what you mean by 'visually see the stories taking place'? " My point was that (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: A design idea

(...) This is very interesting. I didn't think of using it to create stories. There could be interactive stories. Hmm..... ~Kevin Blocksidge (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  2 Types of Brown?!?

Hi! I have these 2 items: (2 URLs) 2 types of brown: some are "normal" brown but other are in a darker brown. Which is the difference? Where are the dark brown ones from??? I hope, somebody can help me. Thanks, Luca My Lego HP (URL) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 2 Types of Brown?!?

(...) black? Cuz I only have those in brown or black. I've never noticed a difference in browns with anything, but here's an idea. Maybe it's an age thing, perhaps the lighter browns are really old and the darks are fresh, like from a re-release, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 2 Types of Brown?!?

(...) spot the difference with mold wise. I have a red quiver from one of their sets, its very likely they have done one in brown (The colour you get in the box appears to be a bit random and bears no relation to the colour on the box or in the (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 2 Types of Brown?!?

Hello! (URL) me for bigger size (Size matters!)>> I also have one bow that's in a darker brown. It's not just a darker shade of the same brown but a completely different colour. (Lighting conditions in my home aren't too good to show that properly.) (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: 2 Types of Brown?!?

(...) Hi Luca, I have a quiver that is of the darker brown also. It is not black as I have black ones too. This is noticable darker in color than the other brown quivers. I have a slight variation in some of the bows, but the quiver is the most (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 2 Types of Brown?!?

(...) I have a few of these darker bows and quivers as well. I have never purchased a clone brand so I am 99.9% sure that these are genuine Lego parts. I will try to take a pic on my day off. Will (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  A Castle I need to Re-design

Hi all, I have never posted here in Castle world before. I think there is a first for everything. I do the occassional post in Loc.AU, but usually just lurking around. Let alone finding time to fulfill my passion for building Lego, I find myself a (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle) !

  Re: A Castle I need to Re-design

Hi Dave, Welcome to lugnet.castle. Your village and castle look great. It is a huge display! I like the massiveness of your castle. The river and gatehouse bridge are nice too. The castle might be a bit better if the ground around it was raised. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: A Castle I need to Re-design

(...) Whoa. I saw this on Brickshelf a few days ago, and gave it another look over just now. I am amazed, this is one massive MOC. Some very nice tudor buildings, a very large army, and a lot of different things going on! If I had to pick one thing (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: A Castle I need to Re-design

(...) Thank you Ben......... (...) I couldnt agree with you more......... A Castle really needs to be elevated, especially if having a village below. The next one I do, I will be sure to make the Castle with a Keep and make the scale of it a little (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 2 Types of Brown?!?

cool. Always glad to be proved wrong :) I'll have to check through my quiver collection now. Its a piece which I always seem to have more than enough of I didn't have any blackfalcons with the head facing the other way, so I'll probably have no luck (...)   Re: A Castle I need to Re-design

Hi Dave! (...) landscaping and buildings. (...) What do you mean with "lack of details"? I see a quite detailed scenery, like the built green door (instead of a standard molded part) or the bird trader. Like James I do not like the red-white inner (...)
