Well, I started puttering with my bricks last night to start making some
peasants' homes last night for NELUG's display TCS. I wanted to make a few
shacks (like 3-5), but I also knew I wanted them to ULTIMATELY be in tan &
brown.... two nicely rare colors. So here's my first attempt:

I like the coloring (although the beautiful florecant lights of my kitchen give
the pictures a yellowed look), but sadly, this pretty nearly exhausted my
supply of brown and tan bricks. Actually, to be truthful, I still have a bunch
more tan bricks, but they're all 6 wide or more (a bunch of 1x12's and 1x16's,
etc)... I couldn't very easily do much with them in this model... Hence the
beautiful hidden interior... I think if I want to continue making houses in
this color scheme I'm going to need to stock up on Wild West sets... (they have
some brown 1x1's and 1x1x5's as I recall? That's what I really need more of)
Anyway, I think I'll try it again tonight with white and black instead of tan
and brown to see how that looks... Comments? Ideas?

| (...) shack/chicken coop? If it is a home is there any way to give them at least one window? I realise it is tough seeing the bricks you are trying to work with but even peasant's need a little daylight :-). The forescant lighting is a little tough (...)
