Actually, sitting down with it today, i was able to condense the corner
beams and bring them closer inset by removing some excess bricks. The
result is a much nicer, more integrated look. It really removes the "set on
top of" look you mentioned. Im going to add some tiles in the roof corners
soon, unfortunately limited containers has forced me to seperate my pieces
by color only so I have a long day of picking through the bottom of my "red"
bin to get enough 1 x 2 and 1x1 tiles. As far as the lions, i think they
turned out nicely though they were a good lesson in experimentation to get a
good look. i would have liked to had the rounded bricks on the back to give
a more humped look rather than a straight slope but i cant seem to find any
(another consequence of orginization by color)
I hope to have some updated pictures of the cleaner roof posted this weekend.
