Hey Matt,
I always love seeing 'brick-made' creatures, especially dragons!  I have to
admit that I have a hard time understanding the pictures.  What I mean is that
I see all the pieces clearly enough, just have a moment to see what the pieces
are meant to be.

What I think would help would be a good 'over-all' picture.  One that shows the
dragon in a fairly cool pose that really looks dragon-like.  The two or so
pictures you do have, have the dragon looking like he's eating birdseed.

Aside from all that.. WOW!  What a serious project!  Overall the dragon looks
pretty menacing, and all the horns make it look quite evil.

I'm interested in how you built the spine.  Also I see a brown vine piece with
stuff attached to it.. what are you using that for? It looks very interesting.

I'd love some more comments on how exactly you made this monstrosity!

Thanks for sharing!

Hello,

Well, after many a sleepless night working on
testing new ideas for a dragon mech, and
placing a few orders on bricklink, I'm
proud to announce the result of a three
week effort, the Akael Me'Han dragon project.

And no, I wasn't bluffing when I mentioned
a dragon project in the works earlier, so
here's my proof I'm contributing to the
community besides posting often :)

Anyway, I waited to post this until after
moderation, so no deep links! The gallery can
be found below.

And here's a lowdown on the images.

As you can tell, I cleverly used dragon arms
for accentuating the eye of Akael, as well as
used binoculars (similar to micro mech) for
my claw system. Suspension of the wings was
achieved by taking lightsaber blades, 1x2
modified bar plates and other sporadic pieces.
(I plan to upload more pictures to further
clarify this soon...)

The project was originally based on a conceptual
drawing I sketched earlier, listed below. I had
originally planned for a blue/ white color scheme, but
with a lack of white wings and an abundance of brown
pieces in my collection, I decided to go for a more
'rustic' look.

And for those of you persistently curious, here's
my writeup on Akael, based from my novella,
[Anachronistic_Skies].

PLMKWYT and don't be afraid to criticize! (I'll
be the first to admit my photography is horrible,
but that's what you can expect from cheap
resources at my disposal :)

Thank you and kind regards,
