Anyway, I waited to post this until after
moderation, so no deep links! The gallery can
be found below.

As you can tell, I cleverly used dragon arms
for accentuating the eye of Akael, as well as
used binoculars (similar to micro mech) for
my claw system. Suspension of the wings was
achieved by taking lightsaber blades, 1x2
modified bar plates and other sporadic pieces.
(I plan to upload more pictures to further
clarify this soon...)

I like the idea of using the dragon arms for accenting the eyes, very cool
idea.   I think I would prefer them turned around and on top of the eye, so
that the arms would be like 'eyebrows', with the spikes of the arms sloping to
the back.  I realize, however, that doing so would require a complete redesign
of your dragon's head.

The project was originally based on a conceptual
drawing I sketched earlier, listed below. I had
originally planned for a blue/ white color scheme, but
with a lack of white wings and an abundance of brown
pieces in my collection, I decided to go for a more
'rustic' look.

Nice drawing.  I can't help but think, though, that your dragon's wings (if
they are wings) are facing backwards.  Maybe I'm just missing something?

PLMKWYT and don't be afraid to criticize! (I'll
be the first to admit my photography is horrible,
but that's what you can expect from cheap
resources at my disposal :)

Thank you and kind regards,

I'd love to see some more pictures of an overall view of your MOC.  From what
I've seen you've successfully created a very lean, wicked looking dragon.  I
like the construction of the spine, it gives the creature a very smooth hunched
over look.  It also appears from your pictures that your dragon has a hard time
holding up its own weight, it's hard to find small joints that have a lot of
resistance to them.

All in all, Nice job.

Hello, Well, after many a sleepless night working on testing new ideas for a dragon mech, and placing a few orders on bricklink, I'm proud to announce the result of a three week effort, the Akael Me'Han dragon project. And no, I wasn't bluffing when (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.general) !
