Hi, folks!

I'm in need of some suggestions as to how to attach this helicopter rotor:

http://guide.lugnet.com/set/5031

to a Technic axle.  The rotor is designed to fit on a pin and spin freely,
I'd like to use it as the base for the vanes of a windmill and connect it
mechanically to a waterwheel below, which means axles and gears.

Any suggestions; whether they be just plain brilliant, semi-inspired, or • off
the top of your head; would be appreciated.

Tatyana

Depends on what parts you avaiable.
One easy way is to attach a 'Technic Rotor 2 Blade with 4 Studs' (32124) on
top of the Propeller blades. I also asume that the helicopter rotor you want
to use is this: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/3461
You can find a description of the 32124 here :
http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/32124
The 2711 is similar type but have only two studs.

There are probably lots of ways to do this, I tried with gears, but nothing
I had matched the studs on the helicopter rotor.

But why use this brick at all? Why not start with a technic gear instead of
the helicopter rotor, eg the Techninc Gear 24 tooth (3648) or maybe the
Techninc Wedge Belt Wheel (4185) or a bigger gear?

As I said it depends on what parts you have avaiable. I can see a few other
ways of making a waterwheel that attaches to a technic pin.
