   Hi all,

What I need to know is has anyone been in this position? How many
relavet pieces do you get out of the other themes compared to the amount you
nulify? And is it really possible to collect more then one theme?

Starting with the last question, it sort of depends on what you mean by
"collect".  If you mean "get all of the sets in that theme", it's impossible
(within any reasonable budget).  If you mean "get sets that you like", it is
of course possible.  I'm mainly a castle guy, but I buy hardly any castle sets.

Relevant pieces - well, it depends on the set.  For instance, I have a Fort
Legoredo, which gives me all kinds of log walls and log bricks, which are
very appropriate for Castle towns.  Most of us find that Star Wars sets give
a lot of minifig patterns that are appropriate in Castle settings (think
Luke on Tatooine, for instance).  Sets that are overly dependant on
speciallized pieces aren't very useful for Castle settings (e.g. an
Alpha-Team submarine), but with an open mind you'll be surprised how
different pieces can be adapted to your setting.
One hint, though, would be to look for sets with lots of basic bricks and
plates.
