  Re: Carved Lion Head Block?

(...) It would have been better if it were Gray or dark gray, not tan. I wouldn't be able to find a use unless building in a desert area? The tan doesn't seem to look right with the gray castles. Its a shame to make it tan for a gray castle theme! (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

On Sat, 25 Dec 1999, Bill Farkas (<FnA27J.4tr@lugnet.com>) wrote at 03:40:31 (...) Just wait till you see the Town set with the raised roadway. The only way you can tell it's LEGO is that *some* of the pieces have studs on :( I've built most of the (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Review of Knights Kngdom sets 6026, 6094 and 6095

(...) The only reason for any of these sets to enter my collection was to make 6091 (6098) larger and more complete. Add all that stuff to 6090 (x2) and I am on my way to being content with the new castle line. Needs more bowmen and kings men and (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  New helmet and Era.

Hello, I have heard a lot of people say that the new lego helmet is more 15th - 16th centu ry than earlier periods. The Helmets name escapes me for now, but it was used in the 13th century a lot as one of the main style of helms besides the norman (...) (25 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) OK...of the queen and the princess, which is which? I don't think either of the female minifigs looks anywhere near old enough to be married to Leo... is he robbing the cradle (as well as having an axe fetish)? J (25 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Holy over-priced, Batman!

That has to be a marking mistake... the Gungan Patrol is only 9.99 at TRU in the states. that's a big booboo if you ask me :( I'd bring it to their attention and let them know they aren't going to sell at that price, and they should check their (...) (25 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Review of Knights Kngdom sets

<snip (...) <snip> I can see someone else noticed the inconsistancy from the box to the instructions. It would be nice if we (AFOL) had some clarification on the set number. You want a review? Of the castle? Ok.. you talked me into it. When I found (...) (25 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) The Kettle hat, or Kettle helm, or Ketyl(l) hat/helm, or chapelle-de-fer originated around 1200 give or take a few years, as you note. No doubt there are further names for it, those are just the ones I'm familair with. They seem to have (...) (25 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
