  Re: Whoops! (Castle Walls)

(...) about to ask if anyone had done them. I think we must think very alike! I was toying around with some hoarding designs over the weekend, trying to come up with a nice looking design. I think the main problem is that the hoardings themselves (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Whoops! (Castle Walls)

I've also encountered this problem a number of times . You stick a hording on one side and the entire thing looks wonky. I think they really need to be butted into a corner to work, and seeing as most of my castles end up being square, there is (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Whoops! (Castle Walls)

  Bit of an update

Not a LEGO update as such, but I've put some pictures up I took of Caerphilly Castle, during the summer - I know it looks dull but this is Wales, be glad it wasn't raining :) check out the photos at the bottom to see the photos of the replica (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) brochure. The new Racers and Alpha Teams sets look like they might be "Hard to Find!" items. :( 84xx- a continuation of Speed Slammers? And could the 67xx range be new TOWN sets?!? :) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

  Re: New here, introducing myself

(...) Welcome! :) (...) Wow. That Shah's Masoleum is *gorgeous*. I love the keyhole bits along the bottom, and the grey and tan mix very well. Nice work! thanks, James (x-posted to .castle) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.castle)

Important: Maybe a misunderstanding in the ISCC rules

Hello, Maybe a misunderstanding in the rules for the ISCC causes less entries. There is the sentence: "Do not send in contributions that are already known, as we want original works." It only means, that the entries need to were unknown or were not (...)   Re: NEW 2002!!! MONSTERS!!! YODA!!!

(...) Ooooohhhhh... I just thought of something. Look up the 380x's in the guide... Mindstorms kits. All four of these new ones are prefaced with 'MS'. Hmm... (...) What makes you say that? (...)   Re: NEW 2002!!! MONSTERS!!! YODA!!!

(...) nope.....67XX sets may be town off-shoots, but more than likely they are going to be part of the (town) islander/skateboard collection. With all the favorites from Lego Island!!!! That is my opinion though.... (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

Re: Anyone working on any Massive castle projects???

(...) Well, I have made castles, just not real-life ones... I guess that it's just not within my price range to make them in real life. -- Mark Nelson (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: New here, introducing myself

(...) I agree, the keyholes are a really nice shape. I also like the use of the Duplo critter (is it a dog?) in the front of the Wizard's Tower. At least, I think it's a Duplo critter. Good job, and welcome to Lugnet! Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.castle)

  question about brick modification

  Re: question about brick modification

(...) Many people treat the big 48x48 baseplates as construction paper. See for one suggestion on how to do it with a rotary paper cutter: (URL) just use scissors, but it doesn't leave a very straight cut. Some scoring of the cut first is smart. (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Light'Ader

Very nice job! I'm sure it will fit in very nicely with your other buildings. I really like how you added the water too. I'm interested in seeing your maps when you get those up. Also, thanks for the kind words and your lighthouse makes me want to (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: question about brick modification

(...) Considering that the evidence is that TLC does this, I'd say yes. Look at the edges of your 32x32 and 16x32 baseplates, you will find a stressed edge on the 16x32 but not on the 32x32. (...) You should be able to score a nice straight line (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)
