Re: New Castle Visor? (Heads Up Castle-Heads!)

Here is an interesting point. It appears that the helmet has the 3 holes for the plumes like the modren visor. yet there are no plumes in it[1]. Why take the time to make a custom piece, just for a lego movie, and add features that you are not going (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New Castle Visor? (Heads Up Castle-Heads!)

(...) I thought the exact same thing. Plus, one has to consider that this is VERY unlike the DIY sculpey helmets we have seen from others -- this thing has to snap onto an existing helmet form and stay in place using two teeny protrusions to do the (...) (...) Not quite. He can't answer the one burning question in everyone's mind: "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" ;D Jeff (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: medieval warships

A wood chuck could chuck two to eleven pounds of wood, if a woodchuck could chuck its own weight. According to a Wall Street Journal article, Richard Thomas, a wildlife expert from New York, estimated that a woodchuck moves about 700 pounds of dirt (...)   Re: New Castle Visor? (Heads Up Castle-Heads!)

(...) I have seen similar helms from around the 12 century (Robert Bruce has one on in Braveheart when he jousts with Wallace), but those don't open up. I think they are just called "Great Helms", because of their size and great weight (which I (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: medieval warships

But.... A woodchuck doesn't have opposable thumbs, so it can't chuck anything. Also, the bulkiness of wood, given that it doesn't come in small pieces like dirt, could prevent it being actively chucked. Rolled maybe, presuming woodchucks have the (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New Castle Visor? NOPE, it's a custom!!!

Guys....girls....let's not get too excited here! : \ IMHO, it's a custom helmet utilizing a Classic Space helmet as part of it....which is the give-away it's a custom. Logically thinking Lego would never re-issue the Classic Space helmet because it (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

~2nd Year Knight Kingdom series! (...) Oh, you mean the extension that involves King Leo’s son returning from the Crusades. Or at least that’s what I've read from the Futura’s story outline. You know there is no doubt in my mind that this IS a NEW helmet line, now whether or not it will be in some recent release, well who knows? I’m sure though, it too well done professionally to be a modification helmet. Also did you notice that the (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Cool army, Shiri. I like they way they have a well devised system of uniforms, yet none are out-of-the-box types. The young obi-wan faces in the kettle shaped helmets look especially cool. Do you have an army of baddies to oppose them? (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)
