I thought the exact same thing.
Plus, one has to consider that this is VERY unlike the DIY sculpey helmets
we have seen from others -- this thing has to snap onto an existing helmet
form and stay in place using two teeny protrusions to do the job, just like
the visors we already have from TLC.
I speculate further that there is no point in TLC keeping silent on the
subject on the two occasions I have asked this question if it were a custom
element -- it would be quite simple to merely state that fact and set the
matter to rest. [Of course, maybe they don't like me and won't answer my
questions even to answer the curiosity of others. =( ]
