Re: Here's a preview of the new one...

(...) We have a ton of Brio trains, and 2+ years ago we decided that a table was needed. We looked at a number of options- the Brio table, the Thomas one, and an off-brand one built locally. All of them were way overpriced, and none had really good (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) There are no hinges involved at all. The diagonal sections are locked in by studs at the base and top only. You can try using hinge bricks, but they seem to produce crummy geomtry. Dan (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Ack! @ Airships

You castle people might not know me very well, I've mostly done space stuff, and havn't posted much at that, but I'm very much into Castle, but my lack of good camera is restricting me from posting much. Anyway... So many airships! All these designs (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) David, Yes. I know how you feel 95% of the time ... lack of camera and being in college. The trend has been going towards airships, and I blame Final Fantasy for that :) Welcome to dot-castle - I hope to see your crew and their mode of (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ack! @ Airships

(...) Heh- a large part of the reason that I made an airship instead of a sailing ship was that I don't have any sails. Actually that's not quite true- I do have a "ripped" pirate sail from one set, but it wasn't really appropriate). I had (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

In lugnet.castle, Tony Hafner writes: <snip> (...) Here's a question for the Lego purists out there: Would mending the sail be pure? What if it was sewn with Lego string? Could make for a very striking look... -- Thomas Main thomasmain@hotmail.com (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ack! @ Airships

(...) Everyone has their own limits for what they feel is pure. And most of us don't try to shove our personal definitions down others' throats. That said... I wouldn't mend a Lego sail that way. I'd have to poke holes in the sail to do that, and (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Brief IOM update

Here is a brief news article about the latest happening at the Bricktanesian camp: After making landfall, preperations began for a housing structure, and as of right now, the last major pieces are being set in place. It is an all stone structure, (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ack! @ Airships

(...) Nope - it wouldn't be pure, but if it turns out well, who cares? If it has a lego drawing on it (i.e. wolfpack), even better :) A ship like this: (URL) although not pure, still rocks :) -- Pawel (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle)
