Everyone has their own limits for what they feel is pure. And most of us
don't try to shove our personal definitions down others' throats.
That said... I wouldn't mend a Lego sail that way. I'd have to poke holes
in the sail to do that, and intentionally damaging a part is against my
religion. But that does sound like a really cool effect for someone else to do.
By the way- the "ripped" pirate sail I was originally referring to was not
actually ripped, but made to look like it was ripped. Check out <set:6281>
to see what I'm talking about.
