  Re: Castle wall idea - using 3 x 3 x 6 Corners

(...) Defending. The point of projecting towers is so the defenders can sweep the fronts of the walls with projectile fire. With a wavy front, an attacker standing between two of the waves would be hard(er) to hit, because the wall itself would be (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle wall idea - using 3 x 3 x 6 Corners

(...) The question is: What do you want? A castle for your son to play with? Well, don't bother. For a kid, it is a very nice building. If you want to build a more real looking castle, the only way is to look for some pictures or drawings of real (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Thanks for the feedback. Military problems in defending or attacking? (...) I agree about the slopes at the bottom... but I didn't want a moat. I'll have to play with them more to see what I can come up with. Do you think both towers are too (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

I'm not normally a castle person, but my son asked me to build a castle. So I thought I'd start with the outer walls (not sure what they are properly called).   Re: Help finding helmet

(...) Unfortunately, it's not a real LEGO minifig helmet, although I wish it was. The only other piece, besides the helmet, that is not made by LEGO is the flanged mace that someone konks someone else on the head with. (During the part when a guy (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New Harry Potter Castle Review - 4757

(...) If I know the TLC, they'll want to re-use the newly made HP parts in as many other themed sets as possible. Hi Kevin, Your keep looks great. The snot technique used with the lattice windows creates a nice effect. I too am looking forward to more photos. The massing and roof of your Norman Keep are also good. Ben E. (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Cathedral revisited

Hello happy builders, today I've posted digicam pics of my cathedral before demolition. Since September 2002 this MOC rested on my shelves, because I was so fond of it.
